Active vs passive sensors of fuel dispensers for sale

Mac 6 2021-11-30 15:05:25

For our fuel dispensers for sale, such as EG1 (https://en.chinaeaglestar.com/products/showproduct.php?lang=en&id=25), EG3 (https://en.chinaeaglestar.com/products/showproduct.php?lang=en&id=15), EG5 (https://en.chinaeaglestar.com/products/showproduct.php?lang=en&id=16), EG6 (https://en.chinaeaglestar.com/products/showproduct.php?lang=en&id=22) and EG7 (https://en.chinaeaglestar.com/products/showproduct.php?lang=en&id=18), there are two kinds of sensors, i.e., active sensors and passive sensors.

Active sensors of fuel dispensers for sale require an external power source to operate, which is called an excitation signal. The signal is modulated by the sensor to produce an output signal. For example, a thermistor does not generate any electrical signal, but by passing an electric current through it, its resistance can be measured by detecting variations in the current or voltage across the thermistor.

Passive sensors of fuel dispensers for sale, in contrast, generate electric current in response to an external stimulus which serves as the output signal without the need of an additional energy source. Such examples are a photodiode, and a piezoelectric sensor, thermocouple.
